Evening came, and we were prepared.
Gar and I lit hot air balloons and sent them into the sky. Gar sprung for both balloons and told me to keep the change. We ate noodles and french fries and watched our balloons drift up up up. They became very small in the night sky and Gar asked, where do they go? How long do they go on for? But there is no way of knowing. The balloons are a simple and beautiful way to create something unknown. That puts your mind in touch for a moment with other unknowns, like the edge of the universe and the bottom of the ocean and the ghosts that drift across the sea.
