Here's Reed

The first new trailer is complete. Morgan is rendering it now and we'll be burning and shipping DVDs to the shortlist on Tuesday. If you're not on the short list and you want to be, give me 20 dollars for my cool movie. The trailer is five minutes long and it looks pretty good. The story has come a long way and so have we.

There's one more critical production phase left. We're planning on going out to Minnesota in early May to document Reed as he steps on a plane back to Thailand and onto Burapha U, where he'll commence his doctoral studies. There are also a few very important interviews we still need to get out there, including a couple of his children we've yet to interview. So I'll be passing the hat around one last time in the next 6 weeks. We have enough material for a very good feature length documentary right now, but I cannot in good conscience finish this beast without proper interviews from Reed's two eldest sons Joe and John.

I need to raise about $2500 by April 15. Not entirely sure how this is going to happen, but that's how these things go. If you can spare $50 or $100, that'd go a long way in getting us over the final hurdle in this thing. I'm a little uncomfortable with panhandling and busking for a film budget, but I'm more uncomfortable with not getting this movie made. So there it is. In the name of Final Destination 2, Hollow Man, Ben Affleck, Bloodrayne, and Daddy Day Camp, please donate to the film. We're trying to do something good here.

Holler at me if you want me to ship you a copy of the new DVD.
